About Me

Happy Thanksgiving!

My first Thanksgiving was officially a success. I'm still not completely sure what we were celebrating...or what all of those yummy smelling foods represented, but that didn't stop me from having a great time. I also met some new people, which I loved!

Uncle Roy is a big dude - with an AMAZING elephant impression!

I was sitting at the end of the table...mouth watering!

Great Grandma was fun to chat with...
And she knows ALL the family secrets!

Assuming the post-Thanksgiving meal position.
Had such a great time, can't wait to do it again! But next year...I'm getting my hands on that turkey and stuffing! (And brussel sprouts! That might be because mama's reading this over my shoulder...)

Let's Get Physical!

Better late than never...HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This year was my first Halloween, and I have to say, it was pretty entertaining. My mama had SUCH a great time dressing me. And check out those pigtails! Who knew that what little hair I have could be turned into such adorableness??

Big brother Superman!

I really enjoyed myself, but next year I'm hoping to score a pumpkin bucket...looks like those things lead straight to candy heaven.

Birthday Bash!

A couple of weeks ago, my big brother got even bigger! He turned 3, and mama and daddy threw a party to celebrate. A pretty solid tradition, if you ask me...

I met SO many people, it was hard to keep track of who was who. Thankfully, since I can't actually "verbalize" yet, there was no threat of calling anyone by the wrong name. This baby thing has it's benefits.

Cousin Amelia

Daddy, Aunt Brandie, Aunt Jody & Amelia
I was passed around quite a bit, but before I headed up to a bath and bed, I was able to hook up with the familial unit for some super fun and goofy pictures.

The Queen and her princess...

The whole fam damily
What a whirlwind event! It was so much fun though...and I can't wait to have me one of these "birthday" bashes myself. Happy Birthday Henry!

Lots to Celebrate

Since my last post (where I was getting "comfortable" with the idea of sitting), I've decided sitting up with the rest of you beats tummy time. Like, by a lot. So, that's my preferred position these days. Plus, it gets me closer to eye level with Henry...lord knows I need to keep him in my sights at all times.

Exhibit A:

In case you can't tell, that is a racecar he's trying to feed me.

Of course I prefer to be looking DOWN on him whenever possible (slight advantage). What...you never have a bad hair day? I had just woken up!

I've been REALLY loving my baths. I don't know why you people limit these things to only one a day...if I had my way, I'd enjoy a bath 3 times a day at least!

I've also met some fun characters:

This is Max. AKA - The Big German

This fuzzy guy goes by the name Elmo.

Oh, did I mention I'm now taking my milk via bottle? Yeah, I decided it was time.

We got to celebrate my Great Grandpa Eddies 90th birthday - which was amazing. Unfortunately, the birthday boy was pretty busy (and I may or may not have napped through half the party), so I didn't get a picture with him, but did grab a couple of pre-party shots with my main lady.

I'm slowly starting to get used to the colder weather. Being a summer baby, the chill in the air is new to me...but I'm loving the accessories!

Cable knit hat with flowers? Check.

Rabbit booties? Check.
I'm sure there are more fall/winter accessories in my future, and that's a reason in itself to celebrate! Don't worry - I'll share pics when I can :-)

Time to turn in now - this lady needs her beauty sleep. Will check in again soon!

Summertime Fun

This summer has absolutely FLOWN by, and it's been a doozy! Lots of firsts and memory-making events. Too many to list, of course, I've only been alive for 4 months...so still getting situated, but I'm making myself right at home.

Something I LOVE to do is roll over...exactly 5 seconds after mommy puts me down and walks away. However, if she puts me down on my belly, I put up quite the fit. Feels too much like work. I've heard her call it "tummy time", but I react as if it's some sort of KGB torture. BUT, if I flop over onto my belly on my own, I'll stay there all day. At least until I get tired. Then we're back to the aforementioned fit...

Sometimes I have company...

I've also spent quite a bit of time boating. Turns out, I'm a natural bathing beauty...Sun's out, guns out, RIGHT?

My brother is quite the entertainer, and entertain me he does. Daily.

Comparing feet sizes...

Play me a song, Piano Man!
I've been practicing my sitting as well. Seems like a pretty essential skill to have around here if I'm going to be heard. It's not always fun, but might as well make the best of it! (AKA - be adorable while I'm doing it!)

Another fun past time of mine is making mommy get creative with me if she wants to get anything done. Here, we were working together to clean the kitchen floor. We're quite the team!

Loving every day I get to spend getting to know these characters that are my family. They're the best!

First Moments Pictorial

My first few months have been pretty great. Albeit, at times completely terrifying, but great. I've put together a series of pictures that sums it up...
