I'm still fuzzy on the concept of Christmas, but the traditions seemed to hinge upon meeting a giant man dressed in red with fur cuffs and a white beard. He seemed somewhat hospitable, but I'm still not sure what the HUGE deal was about him. Either way, I'm glad I was with my big brother for the encounter.
Henry assuring me this guy was legit. |
Alright Santa - you got your photo... now where's that candy cane I was promised? |
Here it is! (Okay - the plastic stayed on, but I gnawed away regardless! |
The main festivities began on Christmas Eve. That's when Grandma Marsha, Grandpa John, Aunt Jenn and Uncle Brett arrived. We had a blast - and after meeting Santa Man, I'm much less concerned about Grandpa John's facial hair.
Although I love my Grandpa, I had a photo shoot with that elf hat earlier... and I may have pulled it off slightly better. I'll let you be the judge:
What can I say - the camera loves me!
Christmas morning was quite eventful. My brother was cruising around the house on his new scooter by the time I awoke.
Henry was good enough to "help" me open most of my presents, but I was able to get my hands on a few:
Kangaroo pillow pet! (It's as big as me...) |

The rest of the holiday was spent relaxing and enjoying family. A few more highlights:
This I-Pad thing is soooo boring. At least I have my toes to keep me entertained.
I hope everyone had a great holiday season, and looking forward to the New Year! Henry and I had to bid farewell to my folks 4.5 hours short of ringing in 2015, but by the looks of them the next morning - they made it. And then some. Cheers to a new year of memories!
